Steve McDermott is an Oregon native who attended Oregon State University and received his BS in Analytical Chemistry. He has faced analytical challenges in everything from nuclear energy to biotechnology and fuel cell hydrogen production. Steve has extensive experience in both gas chromatography using sulfur chemiluminescence detection and high-performance liquid chromatography using diode array detection. He comes to ETS with a 20+ year history in research and development and is excited to tackle new challenges in the wine industry.

Steve works in the McMinnville, Oregon laboratory and looks forward to meeting and serving the Oregon clientele. In addition to his analytical responsibilities, Steve also serves as the company wide ETS Safety Officer, consulting periodically with the other laboratory sites and personnel in St. Helena, CA and Walla Walla, WA to help provide for their safe working conditions.
