Jeff Hunker was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He received his BS in Chemistry from Oregon State University in 2001. He spent the next 4 years working as a chemist in several industries, ranging from food nutrition to the fast paced semiconductor industry. In 2005 he decided it was time for a change, and joined ETS. After training at the St. Helena headquarters, Jeff packed up every thing that he owned and moved to Walla Walla.

Since 2005 Jeff has worked as an analytical chemist at ETS Laboratories in Walla Walla, supporting the growth and development of the Washington wine industry. As part of this growth, Jeff was involved in the ETS quality initiative that achieved ISO 17025 accreditation of the Walla Walla laboratory bringing a new level of data quality. Jeff helped facilitate the ETS Walla Walla laboratory expansion which enabled ETS to install additional instrumentation, increasing the on-site analytical capabilities of the Walla Walla satellite facility.

When not at the lab, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife golfing, skiing, fishing, playing video games, and watching movies.
