Haloanisoles and Halophenols Analyses

ETS Laboratories offers a variety of analyses to clients outside of the wine industry for detection of 2,4,6-tribromoanisole (TBA) and 2,4,6-tribromophenol (TBP). Simultaneous detection of other moldy-smelling haloanisoles (TCA, TeCA, PCA) and their corresponding halophenols (TCP, TeCP, PCP) are also available.

Sampling for Atmospheric TBA

ETS “Atmospheric Traps” are easy to use, passive trapping devices for the detection of airborne TBA at trace levels. Fees include the Atmospheric Trap and analysis. There is a shipping fee when traps are sent directly to you.

TBA in Solid Samples - Sensitive Method

This analysis offers the highest available sensitivity for detection and quantification of TBA. Clients routinely use this method
to check packaging materials (cardboard boxes, plastic films, and containers) for contamination at trace levels.

TBA and TBP in Solid Samples

This analysis offers the simultaneous detection of TBA and its direct precursor TBP. This method is typically used to check
for or identify potential sources of airborne TBA (construction and insulation materials, wood structures, wood or plastic
pallets).

Please call Gordon Burns or Dr. Eric Herve to discuss analytical options and sample submission requirements.
